We are a producer and distributor of speciality foods, working with artisan food producers across the globe. Everyday, we supply to a nationwide network of customers from the smallest farm shops, to restaurants and food manufacturers.
Cheese was our first great passion, but we get just as hot under the collar at the prospect of a slice of local air-dried ham or the fragrant aroma of truffle honey. This appetite for good food is reflected in our speciality range, which covers everything from butter and flour to charcuterie and pesto.

Smith & Brock
Founded in 2016 by brothers Joe and Nick, Smith & Brock is a fresh fruit and vegetable, dairy, dried, and fine foods wholesale business that works with some of the finest restaurants, hotels, pubs, caterers, and schools in the country.Having worked in the industry from a young age, Joe and Nick grew frustrated with the corporate way of looking after customers and procuring produce, leading them to start Smith & Brock with a simple purpose and philosophy: “to have the best people supplying the best product with the best service at the right price to customers who value these attributes in a supplier.” They have searched far and wide to ensure they work with the best; from the Marché International de Rungis, growers from the coast of Italy, the mountains of Spain, to the Kent countryside, they work with growers who produce the best quality products and have a passion for what they do.
Smith & Brock also offer a selection of fine foods in addition to fresh fruit and vegetables. They provide a variety of products, such as meat, poultry, speciality products, premium cheeses, flour, and dry goods. They work closely with suppliers in the U.K. as well as across the channel in France and other parts of Europe.
Since 2016, they’ve grown and are now one of the largest fresh produce wholesalers in the country. The Smith & Brock family now has over 180 team members with a £30 million turnover. From Michelin-starred restaurants to award-winning hotels, they supply some of the best addresses in London, such as Waterside Inn, Raymond Blanc-Le Manoir, Tom Sellers-Restaurant Story, Clare Smyth-Core by Clare, Tom Aikens-Muse, and the Wolseley Group. Their continued growth saw them rank 2nd in “The Grocer’s fast 50” companies to watch in 2021.

Founded in 2006, Flying Fish serves some of the greatest chefs in the UK. We stick strongly to the ethos of delivering the best seafood the country has to offer to the best restaurants within 48 hours of being caught: 'Ship to Plate in 48'.
Every weekday morning our expert buyers are up before sunrise to pick the best catch from the Day Boats at Looe, Brixham, Newlyn and Plymouth markets.
From Native Cornish Lobsters and Dover Soles to Offshore Deep-Sea Mussels, sourcing from local fisherman is key to providing not only the freshest fish, but also vital in supporting the community; mixing with the people who catch them, gives us a real insight into how important their history has been in creating the current industry we love.
The passion the team shows towards the fish that we supply to our customers is exemplary. As a company our commitment to responsible sourcing and the highest industry practices are rigorously followed to protect the rich and ample stocks we currently enjoy. All fish is meticulously selected ensuring supplies can be traced back to fisheries and vessels that only operate strict sustainable policies.
Taking guidance from conservation groups such as “The Cornwall Good Seafood Guide’ enables us to meet the difficult standards set by the Responsible Fishing Scheme. Following these practices allows our team to actively promote and educate regarding not only different sustainable species but also their catchment methods and the impact these have on the environment, we feel this is vital in preserving future stocks for our children’s children.
